At Langdon, we thrive on challenges.
In a perfect example of what can be achieved when great teams come together, we recently collaborated with our trusted partners at SEKO Logistics Southampton to implement a seamless Duty Management System (DMS) transition for one of SEKO’s clients: a leading household cleaning brand.
The Challenge
The client already operated a customs warehouse supported by SEKO Logistics. When the time came to replace the client’s incumbent DMS provider, SEKO turned to Langdon to help them deliver a robust, integrated solution… and fast.
With just 8 weeks before the existing contract expired, the pressure was on. Gulp!
Our Approach
Langdon kicked off the project with a detailed interface scoping session alongside the client’s in-house development team.
The goal? Seamless integration between their Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Langdon’s DMS. Thanks to total buy-in from both sides, the integration was completed in what felt like record time.
Building the Solution
Despite tight timelines, the client conducted a short but thorough parallel run to ensure everything was functioning smoothly. Meanwhile, the migration of existing bonded stock from the previous supplier to Langdon’s DMS required close collaboration between the client, SEKO, and Langdon in what was a true team effort.
The Results
The success of this implementation was built on trust, transparency, and shared commitment.
Langdon is now proud to be the Duty Management System provider for both SEKO Logistics and the client, managing the DMS on a day-to-day basis.
Key outcomes included:
Rapid delivery within an 8-week window.
Seamless WMS to DMS integration.
Successful bonded stock migration.
Ongoing operational support from Langdon Customs Bureau.
This project is a testament to what can be achieved when partners align around a common goal.
Huge thanks to the client and team at SEKO Logistics Southampton for their outstanding collaboration and support throughout.
