Excise Duty Suspension

Excise duty suspension is the storage of excisable goods in a tax, or bonded, warehouse. Goods are stored without paying the national excise duties to the Treasury until release.

This suspension improves cash flow and can save duties being paid twice or having to be reclaimed from HMRC to the EU or export them to third countries. Movements throughout the EU are tracked by the relevant tax authorities and Langdon’s DMS interfaces with the EU’s EMCS system, making declarations and receipting goods seamlessly on your behalf.

Customer Testimonial

I’ve been using Langdon’s Duty Management System since 2017. I can honestly say that the system has never let me down. Any issues that have occured have been resolved in a short amount of time, with little to no impact to our bonded operations. The support given from the Langdon team is always of an excellent standard and they are great communicators. The system itself is extremely user friendly and new users are able to be trained very quickly and are at ease with the DMS processes.
